An adequately functioning Tobacco cessation center has been set up in the OP department of Victoria Hospital campus.

• A team consisting of trained psychologist, MSW and data entry operator are working under the guidance of Dept of Psychiatry.
• Initially counselling is being given to smokers attending OP department for some ailment. Faculty and students of the institution have been informed about the center.
• The school teachers who receive training on ill effects of tobacco have been informed about tobacco cessation center and to utilize its services if needed.
• A museum is being developed with charts and posters on hazards of tobacco use for benefit of staff , students and general public.
